KASHMIRI TEA – KAHWA
Kashmiri Kahwa Green Tea
Cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom mixed with green tea can relieve headaches and it is a comforting way to maintain fluid levels.

|2||green crushed cardamoms|
|4||tsp green tea leaves|
|2cm||piece of cinnamon stick|
|2.5cm||piece of fresh root ginger, peeled and sliced|
|4||pinches of saffron strands|
|8||almonds, blanched, skinned and chopped|
|2||tsp caster sugar (in optional)|
Method of Preparation:
Bring 750ml of water to the boil in a saucepan and add the cardamoms, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
Leave to infuse for a few seconds and then add the tea leaves and turn the heat down to a gentle simmer.
Soak the saffron in a tablespoon of warm water and set aside. Kashmiri Kahwa Green Tea
Strain the tea into a jug. Add the saffron water and the almonds, and the sugar, if using, and stir to dissolve the sugar.
