VEGETARIAN BAKED BEANS
Vegetarian Baked Beans Recipe
|2||15 oz. cans vegetarian baked beans|
|Crushed and chopped garlic||½ tsp|
|Cumin seeds||1 tsp|
|Serrano chillies seeded and finely chopped||1 or 2|
|Vegetarian Baked Beans Recipe||½ chopped brown onion|
|Dish of Tabasco sauce (optional)|
|Crushed coriander seeds||½ tsp|
|Juice of ½ lime|
|Garam masala||1 ½ tsp|
Method of Preparation:
Heat the oil on medium heat and sauté the onion. Add asafetida, cumin and coriander seeds,garlic, Serrano and stir for approximately two minutes, adding a few drops of water.
Now add the beans, ½ cup warm water, and the rest of the ingredients. Stir well, cover, and simmer for four to five minutes to blend all the flavors.
This is great with warm tortillas or dinner rolls.
This is also a great topping for baked potatoes with sour cream.
