Vegetable Masala Sandwich
An important part of the spice trade since ancient times, black pepper was once known as black gold. black Pepper aids digestion and may help prevent obesity. This sandwich uses fresh ingredients combined with a minty relish: a typical packed lunch for many people in India.
PREPARTION TIME: 10 MINUTES
|8 slices of||slices of wholewheat bread|
|8 tsp||mint raita|
|½ tsp||freshly ground black pepper pinch of powdered Himalayan or black salt (optional)|
Method of preparation:
- Spread the mint raita over each slie of bread.
- Lay the cucumber slices on four slice of bread, and cover with the tomatoes. Sprinkle with the pepper and salt, if using.
- Cover with the other four slices of bread, cut into triangles and serve.
